here is new york no longer has a staff. A small number of volunteers have been managing critical aspects of the organization such as the web site and organizational planning and as a result we are unable to respond to most requests. here is new york has been gratified at the response our exhibit has been given. We are currently trying to find a permanent home for here is new york so that the exhibit and website can be appropriately preserved for posterity.

here is new york will open in Berlin on July 6 and remain until October 7. Sponsored by the German Ministry of Interior/Federal Agency for Civic Education, the show will also be in Dresden, Duesseldorf, and Stuttgart in September and October.

From September 5th through November 2, 2002 an exhibit of 50 photos from our book will be on view at Scalo Project Space, 560 Broadway, #301, New York, New York 10012. Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Here Is New York in San Diego
The San Diego presentaion of "Here Is New York-A Democracy of Photographs"
will take place at 232 Fifth Avenue in the historic downtown Gaslamp Quarter.
The exhibition will open on September 10 and run through November 10, 2002,
Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10am - 5pm; Fridays and Saturdays 10am - 8pm;
Sundays, 12 noon - 6pm.
The San Diego presentation is sponsored by The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay
Indians. Additional support has been provided by the San Diego Hilton
Gaslamp Quarter, S.D. Malkin Properties Inc, and the Union Bank of California.

- Here Is New York in Houston
The Houston exhibition of here is new york: a democracy of photographs will premier at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Herman Park as part of the City Of Houston's official 9.11 commemoration. It will be on view free to the public for two days, September 11 - 12, 2002, 11am - 7pm.
On September 14, 2002 the exhibit will open at Memorial City Mall for a four week exhibition. Admission is free, 7 day a week, through October 13. Gallery hours are Mon - Sat, 10am - 9pm, Sun, 12pm - 6pm.
here is new york is brought to Houston by MetroNational, H-E-B, FotoFest and the City's Initiative Program through the Cultural Arts Council of Houston / Harris County with additional support from JP Morgan Chase, the City of Houston and John and Carola Herrin.

International Plaza is the first shopping center in the world to host here is new york: a democracy of photographs, an extraordinary collection of 300 images documenting the unbelievable events of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, that field in Pennsylvania and in Afghanistan.
International Plaza & Bay Street at the Plaza, an enclosed, two-story regional shopping center with an adjacent outdoor lifestyle center, debuted September 14, 2001, just three days after September 11. "Remembering September 11, 2001" is on display in the Art Gallery (Room
H-113) at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Jim Leeds Road,
Pomona, NJ. Stockton College is located approximately 15 miles from
Atlantic City.
"Remembering September 11, 2001" includes a series of
100 prints from "here is new york" supplemented by a variety of works by
members of our regional community. Most of the latter are photographs
relating to the events of 9/11, although the exhibition also includes
drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures. The exhibition was
supported by a major grant from the Casino Reinvestment Development
Authority of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
